The events in this book take place 4 months before the events in Cursed To Be Mine.
Knowing where Varius and Micha's story was headed made it all the more gutwrenching.
There are things happening in this book that are horrific, but the writing is so good that you won't be able to put the book down. The characters are so loveable despite ALL being morally grey and wrapped in all the red flags. Micha is such a witty and strong character and Varius... I have to admit that I thought he was the absolute worst after book 1. And now I love him.
This book, for me, cemented that Khalid and Rudy are the best brothers anybody could wish for, and I'm also putting down my vote for a book from Maddox pov at some point 🥺💜
