I wasn't nearly as excited to read Marc and Angelina's story as I was Adam and karla's, so this took me by surprise.

Holy hotness. Marc was so caring when he had to be. There for Angelina when she needed him. Loved how he knew what she needed before she even knew. However, I wish he wouldn't have lied (held info) from her. He was all you have to trust me and be honest with me and he wasn't with her. COMMUNICATE!

Glad to see the introduction for the next book at the end of this book. Nice setup!

May have slight spoilers.

In this second installment of Kallypso Masters Rescue Me series we get Marc d'Alessio story, which those who have read the prequel, Masters at Arms should all be familiar with. If you have not read the prequel, well then, I have a feeling the Master’s might have something to say about that.

I remember saying in my review of Masters at Arms that I did not think we had met Master Marc’s Lady yet, I was correct we meet her in this novel for the first time, right in the first pages to. Angelina Giardano a woman he rescues from an awful BDSM scene in the club while on DM duty. Though he did save her from the scene and Dom; he can not help feeling guilt that he was late on the job that day and did not get to her sooner.

When Angel leaves the club he feels a mix of emotions, Master Marc keeps all subs at a distance but at the same time he can not keep her out of his head.

Angel though doesn’t remember much of her savoir and what she does remember she chocks up to dream/fantasy, she too can not stop thinking/dreaming about this ‘dream’ person.

A month passes and incredibly they meet again at a bar, only though Marc remembers her, Angel does not remember him and he sees no reason to dreg up bad memories and tell her who he is and what he knows. Luke a friend and fellow search-and-rescue partner tells Marc about a dream he had and believes was sent from his dead wife about sending him an angel; he believes it must be Angelina. And who is Marc to stand in the way of such things? This becomes just another reason and excuse that he should distance himself from Angel, another being that with her fear of BDSM now that Luke would be perfect for her and be able to give her the emotional connection she needs.

In the end though he can not help but show her the ways of BDSM, with the thought in mind to get her over her fear of it after her bad experience. Soon though the sparks that had sizzled between them erupt into a passion that neither of them expected but nether can resist…

I really liked this novel from beginning to end I can not think of one thing that I would change! The plot is fast paced, its well written, erotic, exciting, gives you that emotional connection with your characters and more. Of course our characters do have their problems, the biggest being ‘the lie’ which I understand completely after everything that Angel has gone though and really Marc himself as well, trust does not come easy to them. So ‘the lie’ when it does come out it is understandable that there is going to be some hard feelings and hurt. Not to mention our bad Dom that hurt Angel isn’t going to give her up so easily so we also have that suspense of what is going to happen.

I will very much always be one of the Masters Brats ;) and am highly looking forward to the next installment, Nobody’s Hero which is set to be released this month.

I would recommend this novel to anyone looking for a good BDSM novel to read; especially to anyone who has read Masters at Arms.

*I received an Ebook copy of this book for free to review from the author.

pretty good, but too much is unresolved. there is no payoff for the main couple and too many loose ends that there is no ending for anyone. not sure I want to try the rest of the series to find out what happens.

Marc D'Alessio *sigh* even his name is sexy, my Italian Stallion as I started calling him. Just something about him calls to me, that quote just fits...perfectly. He tries so hard to do the right thing, even if it means going against his instinct to take whats "his". To put others happiness before his own...typical Marine. God love them. At first I was extremely put off with the three-some aspect. Normally, it doesn't bother me, its kind of hot. But damn it, Marc only! I was pulled to him from the moment I read about him in book one, Masters at Arms, and I could actually barely read the story in the beginning....from what I've read Ms. Masters actually wrote Marc's story first before even book 1..and I think that may have been a downfall. I have to admit this story a little spotty and at times slow, and one particular scene seemed to drag on and on, but I'm still head over heels for Marc ;)

Um ok. After reading the first book that introduced all of the guys, I was most interested in Adam and Karla's story. But I read this one just to cover the bases. I liked the secondary characters better than Marc and Angie. I really liked Luke and am looking forward to his story. I felt like I read this one to just get it over with. I'm not crazy about the BDSM aspect but I more interested in other aspects of the story. I guess I swing more towards the vanilla end of the spectrum ;). Characterization was weak in some spots and inconsistent.

So Angie doesn't know if she wants to be a sub and then POOF! She decides she does. She just changes her mind. Not a favorite "heroine" (if you can call her that) by any means.

Very well done. Erotic but with great emotion and story as well. The characters are well developed. Don't read the epilogue if you can't get the second book right away. Cliffhanger!

I really enjoyed this story from beginning to end. It seems like BDSM would definitely be a way for an abusive person to "hide" their nature... almost like the pain portion gives someone permission to go too far. That's what happened with Angelina and Allen. Allen was a total dickwad (to borrow Adam's term for him), and took advantage of Angelina's trust. Angelina had been reading BDSM romance novels and thought she might like to try it. Allen completely obliterated her trust in what he did, but Marc arrived just in time to mitigate the damage. And he did it in such a non-intrusive way that she wasn't even sure if he was real. Neither could forget about the other, though. And neither thought they'd see the other again (plus Angelina though he was a dream lover), but fate intervened when he and his friend Luke rescued someone in her town and had to stay for the resulting media events. He and Luke are both smitten with her, and the fact that Sir Asshole (as Marc liked to refer to Allen) was in the same bar gave them an excuse to stay near her. Marc thinks Angelina deserves someone like Luke, so he keeps trying to push them together. While they have some touching interactions (with some touching involved, lol), it's clear to the reader who should be together. But they both resist it -- Marc much harder than Angelina. Sir Asshole, living up to his namesake, gives them all an excuse to spend more time together, and stuff happens. Good stuff. Scary stuff. Scary in terms of Sir Asshole as well as scary in terms of how they feel about each other.

I liked how Marc showed Angelina that she could be submissive but not give up her individuality. And that it didn't have to be painful. I also liked that she eventually realized that she had some control over the scenes, and realized pain mixed with pleasure could be a heady feeling. I liked how she fought her own body's reaction to the pain -- it seemed a reasonable mental fight considering Allen had called her a pain slut.

I also liked how strong Angelina was, both in spirit as well as physical strength. While she probably did need some help avoiding Allen, she proved she was able to take care of herself when it counted. I can see why she wouldn't tell her brothers about the kink club, but the second incident, she shouldn't have kept hidden.

Anyhoo... can't wait for the next one. Not sure if it'll be Adam or Damian, but I'm sure it'll be good! And I want to find out what's up with Luke and Cassie... why Cassie is so skittish, and how Luke will bring her around.
