Stilted conversation, unimaginative characters, and formulated plot. The Underworld series was so much better. This almost reads like a totally different person wrote it. Even the sex scenes were boring!

this book was just ok for me. a few things i really enjoyed were the beginning despite how sad it was. the first portion of the book was very immersive for me and i feel like it was written by a completely different author than the rest of the book was. i also really enjoyed how obsessed zacharel was with annabelle, that shit was so fun to read omg. i thought it was weird how many sex scenes this author included in the book and yet each of them was pretty half-hearted and vague so i was confused why she kept putting them into the book. but overall the rest of the book was just kinda meh for me so i probably won’t be reading anything else by this author.

I didn’t love the approach to sexual assault. I can see what she was going for but the cave scene was icky and really set back my opinion of zacharel, and Annabells reaction was a bit demeaning in how quickly she turns around. She’s a girl who has been systematically and continually abused for years.
An enjoyable enough gena showalter, she delivered what I bought the book for. I liked the crossover kind of part - the book was lagging and I was skimming and the club scene def revitalised the energy.
Probs won’t continue this particular series

I’m so frustrated of how many times the word “decadent “ was used in this book.

Parts of it bored me... but I love the narrator, and the scenes with the Lords and the Harpies made the whole thing worth it!

Darn it. Read this one in a day. Page-turner indeed.

I wasn't overly Keen, the story itself was ok, i just felt there was way to much filler... The story could have been told in Half the Pages.

The side characters Thane and co seem interesting, would have liked to see more of Lysander too.

So im calling it a 3, Maybe as an introduction to this part of the Gena Universe it was a . one book after Lysanders... but still she already so much Base so i cant put my 3* down to first book Syndrome....

It was ok... but not Great
