I think this was a great follow up to the first book and I’ll admit it had me pretty hooked. Though not in the ‘omg I need to find out what happens next’ sense, more in the sense that it was a well written and well thought out book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading and wanted to finish quickly.

I was really hoping that Hazel would end up with Simon though tbh. Her love story with Jack was cute but I think Simon would have brought out the best in her. Also, why did her and Jack have kids, imagine explaining the whole ‘immortality’ thing to them but telling them they can’t also be immortal.

Overall loved the book though and the nods to history throughout.
