As fun as the first book. I like how there is a gentle life lesson imparted in the mildest, low key manner with a huge dose of humor and cuteness. Clementine reminds me of a slightly older Junie B. Jones.

The Clementine books are so well-written and adorable it's hard not to love them. They're sort of like Ramona-lite, because Clementine is so similar to my favorite spunky character, but her books are much shorter. I love Clementine's parents, too.

These books would be great as a nightly read-along for younger children, or as independent reading for 2nd-3rd graders.

Read to Isabel: I just adore these books. Clementine is funny without being cloying and I love the way the adults talk to her—with respect and amusement. I feel like this series doesn’t get its due; it’s SO much better than that painful Junie B Jones that’s in “kid speak” (i.e. bad grammar and just obnoxious). Clementine is curious without being a brat.

sweet and deliberate this is a series that is really well done. Perhaps a direct antithesis of Junie? Very well done and a wonderful character. For that 3-4th grade sweet spot and a great read a-loud for 1-3
