Well damn Mors (MMC). I mean I never knew a God can be so damn filthy. Just how I like it. Now Avea (FMC) is a little freak too. This book is the second book to the “Court and Kings” series by K.A. Knight. One of my favorite authors who wrote “Den of Vipers” one of my first RH Dark Romance book. Ever since I just been in love with her books. Read quite a few of them. But this one is ok. Not my favorite but it was good nonetheless. The spice made me stick around. But I will say it dragged and I was tempted to DNF. But I didn’t and like I stated it was ok. Not better than the first one. Oh Boy!! The first one “ Court of Nightmares” was FILTHY, FILTHY!! RH at its finest. Damn that was one hell of a book. Will be purchasing the third one that’s out as well. Prob get to that sometime during the summer. Month of June will be dedicated to Queer books.. Anywho, if you like Gods and Vampires. Then give this one a go… Enjoy!!

Oh boy did I love this story. This world that Katie has built in this series is just so intriguing with each book I read in it. Avea who is 1/2 mortal and 1/2 vampyr has found the one person she cares about at deaths door and finds herself kneeling before Death aka Mors willing to give her life & spare the life of the man she cares for. Mors is intrigued that she would ask this, so he makes her a deal for 10 years. Little does he know that Avea will challenge him as she's fierce, fearless and the more time they spend together the closer they get and feel a connection, but there's other thing's at play that can cause problems for them. That's all I'm saying you just need to read it and find out. I cannot wait to see what's coming next.

I received this book as an ARC in return for my honest thoughts and opinion.

In this book, the FMC Avea, who is half vampyr and mortal. She’s strong and fearless, until one day she has to make a deal with the god of death himself to save the life of her friend in exchange for 10 years of her life.

Getting to know the MMC, Mors aka god of death, he’s not exactly what everyone has perceived him as. What will happen when Avea comes to that realization?

The world building was amazing and super fast paced that it got super addicting quick. If you love a Hades and Persephone and “touch her and you’ll d!e” vibes, then I highly recommend this book and prepare for all the spiciness to come.

I don’t think this book/series is for me.

There were a few times I felt lost while reading it. Other times it sped through important moments without a lot of context or was kind of glossed over in my opinion. It also felt like it drug out the less important moments to me.

I had a lot of “what is happening right now” moments.

Again I just don’t feel like this is for me but I am grateful to have received this as an arc from wordsmith publicity.
