Cute stories, great job featuring diversity, but nothing earth shattering.

there we more stories i didn't like than i did but i think that was bc some of the stories were more fantasy based than i'm used to BUT i will say all the stories were excellently written and so diverse - incorporating different cultures and races and sexualities. so so good and would definitely recommend

Americani, tutto ok?

Some of these were better than others, but unlike some other anthologies I’ve read, not a single one was a dud. I think my two favorites start with Giving up the Ghost, for drawing the comparison of battling your inner voice, inner saboteur, and inner critic to a ghost companion that can be dealt with a learned to live in better harmony with. The whole concept really felt satisfying and new. I also really enjoyed Yuna and the Wall, for bringing a fantasy scape, and dealing with the bias and prejudices we all learn throughout our lives, and how we may not be able to tear down all those walls, but we can try to learn how to leave the gate open, and learn to communicate across divides. Then to end on an Adam Silvera story that doesn’t make you want to ugly sad cry, but have happy tears instead is a particular treat. Definitely worth a read!

Some of the stories I love some were a pain to get through. I was hoping for more queer stories but the ones we got were good.
I’m not so sure that I’m an anthology person!

Most of the stories in here were light and fluffy, some of them pretty cute. Some stories I really enjoyed, some that fell a little flat for me. (I'm a bit bitter that "The Swordsman and the Boy-King" doesn't actually exist. Someone please write this, we need more gay, diverse fantasy in our lives.)

I’m not usually a contemporary gal, but this compilation was really sweet! I so appreciated the diversity and lgbtq+ rep, and I would definitely recommend for someone who just wants something different to read. As is the case with most short story compilations, some stories were more captivating that others, but I’ve Definetly found new authors who’s work I’d love to look into.
