This book deeply hurt my feelings. The concept is brilliant and I was super excited for this but nothing really happens. It's mostly just the author self insert character running around his hometown doing the most mundane things. The book could absolutely get away with the quaint navel gazing if the craft was there, a book can say nothing if its beautifully written but alas...

I liked how this book was true crime but wasn’t a real event. It read like it though. Richard Chizmar tells a story based in 1988 that feels so real, I felt like I was there living it with. Part true crime part memoir, this story keeps you wanting more
