Once again Armor Towles ate and left no crumbs I shouldn’t be surprised after how wonderful A Gentleman in Moscow was.

This book was everything I needed and more I’ve been in the worst reading slump of my life over the past couple of months and once I got past the first fourth of this book I couldn’t put it down.  I will admit that the beginning is a bit slow which is why it took me forever to get into it but it makes up for it later.

The writing was amazing as usual and Armor Towles is definitely one of my favorite authors now.  The scenery the time period and the characters were all wonderfully written.  I did find myself liking this one a little bit more than A Gentleman in Moscow mostly because of how well he fleshes out the environment of this book.  I’ve never been to 1930s New York but I feel like I’ve definitely been there after reading this.

Overall this was a great book and I’m definitely going to read anything else he puts out.

Listened to this when I was having a hard time sleeping. Gave it an extra star for the sleep-aid it gave me. I just kind of kept waiting for something to happen.
