This is a fun, entertaining read. Sophia and Adolphus are interesting, relatable, intriguing, complex, entertaining characters. I enjoyed their romance and the growth of these characters throughout the course of the story. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story.

Earl of Kendal is part of the Wicked Earls Club and the fifth book in the Matchmaker of Mayfair series. It was a short book and easily read in one sitting. Like most of the books by this author, it was well written and easy to read. The characters were charming and so easy to connect with.
Lady Sophia Stopford did not want to marry her father’s friend. She decides to escape marriage by traveling to Scotland and opening a whiskey distillery. She did not count on the Earl of Kendal following her. Kendal agreed to follow Sophia and marry her so his sister’s reputation would not be ruined further. He did not expect her to keep escaping and running away. He had no wish to marry but Sophia’s father forced him to in order to save his sister.
This was another delightful book from the author and a great addition to the fun Wicked Earls Club series. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Earl of Kendal, by Madeline Martin. The Wicked Earls club has done it again. Madeline brings a wonderfully written romance book to my imagination with great delight. This story I found very entertaining and a joy to read. The book is easy to read.
I didn’t struggle with the dialogue or the innuendo’s. The book was refreshing to read. The drama is light, but brings so much to the plot of the story. The book has a steady pace to it. The pace definitely held my attention from the beginning to the end of the book.
Madeline’s writing is perfect. She explains things in good detail, just enough for the readers imagination to fall deeply into the story. Kendal and Sophia’s love story starts off hilarious. I laughed and giggled at some parts that were I didn’t expect. After Kendal and Sophia learn to get along the fire in their love affair burns bright.
This fire adds warmth to their feelings towards each other. I had a great time reading this story. I recommend this book with two snaps and a, I need an Aunt Nancy. Until next time my fellow readers... read on! I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Earl of Kendal was an outstanding book, with a young woman fights to forge her own path, and an Earl with a rumored reputation who wants nothing to do with marriage. In this book they discover things they never realized about themselves and each other. I loved the characters they were so entertaining, and the storyline was unique and very well written. I volunteered to receive an ARC copy of this book and was not disappointed. Madeline did and amazing job with this book just as she has with every book I've read from her so far. I can't wait to read more from her.
