i think this was my second graphic novel ever! [b:Embroideries|9526|Embroideries|Marjane Satrapi|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1435710493l/9526._SX50_.jpg|1343320] was my first!

I always love reading themes of life under a communist country. I just find it fascinating and cautionary to Americans! Girl-crushin on Ayn Rand <3

Also, can we just TALK ABOUT this cover :D obssessed.

It wound up reading more like historical fiction than dystopia, but I'll leave it shelved in dystopia anyway, bc who knows when any democracy will wind up under a dictatorship like Soviet Russia. And it oddly was more like a love story than anything else which was curious????

This was surprisingly suspenseful and had an interesting ending that left me thinking.

I"m a visual learner so graphic novels are really effective when learning about history.!!
