I absolutely loved the ending of this trilogy! Jemisin ties together so much complexity incredibly well and with so much thought. I will forever come back to revisit these oh-so-human characters.

For some reason, I found Hoa's story a little hard to get into, and Alabaster was also dearly missed, but the rest of the book was great. A little slow, and I don't think either follow-up quite captured the near perfection of The Fifth Season, but I thought this ending was satisfying and devastating in equal measure. Truly one of the best fantasy series I've ever read.

Wow, what a conclusion to this trilogy! It was wrapped up beautifully, if a bit predictably. I absolutely loved this series, and it sets a new bar for the fantasy genre.

god i cried again. amazing to see this story wrapped up, to view the different ways that not just humanity, but *life* hurts and we move on and have hope. to see generational trauma, and love, and pain tangle up and weave a storyline that will last for centuries, in a way that i have never read before. i love the way NK Jemisin writes and excited to read more of her work
