De très jolis dessins avec de belles couleurs, l'histoire est accessible pour tous les âges et l'intrigue est bien mise en place à la fin du premier tome. L'univers se développe doucement, et l'histoire est intéressante !

3.5, love the artwork, and the all around idea is really really good, also deals with some underlying society problems that is really interesting. I'm just waiting for more about the world and what happens, as well as character development done more deeply

There are several things I like about this graphic novel- it's quite long and detailed, the art is attractive (the style borders on anime-esque design), it involves magic in a Victorian-style setting, and it includes a third gender quite seamlessly. I also loved the bonuses at the back of the book- the newspaper snippets and the character summaries. That being said, the plot itself feels distracted and meandering. Characters are introduced, at times, quite poorly, and you're left wondering how they mesh in with the plot as a whole, or if they even matter at all. Plot threads appear and disappear at random, and I found myself often confused as to what was important and what wasn't. I really wanted to like this more than I did, to be honest.
It's wonderful that this graphic novel was made as a kickstarter- the author had enough of a following that he crowd funded the amount they needed to self-publish. There are so many worthy authors out there that simply lack the funding to get their work out there. I would possibly be interested in continuing in the series, if more of the plot and characters were explained in the next installment.

Very cute. Quick graphic novel. Princess and magic. People who think they are doing what’s right but coming to realize they might be in the wrong side of things. The images are beautiful.
