The first time I read this, it blew me away. The second time I still really enjoyed it, though it did feel a lot smaller than I remembered. But still one of the best superhero comics I've read. Especially as a self contained story, it's really special

Goddammit, why did it take me so long to read this? Take me away, Tom King! I'm beyond ready for another adventure.

So I don't know much about Darkseid but he sounds like Satan insofar as Highfather is God and Mister Miracle is some bastard child in the mix with a death wish.

I don't know what's going on but I'm excited!!

feels like a dream well that was a ride.  A superhero story that could have been a dream, could have been someone else playing with the main character and could have been truth, or all three.  Disjointed and messy and intriguing.
