I found this book incredibly compelling and engaging. I finished it in one sitting, always wanting to know what came next. I

didn’t see the ending coming, and while I was deeply disturbed by Polly’s suicide attempt, I think it does show one of the potential consequences of this kind of thing. While I wish Finch had gotten some consequences, I unfortunately think it’s far more realistic the way that it turned out. Though I wouldn’t call the ending totally satisfying, partially for that reason, I did like that it felt very real. I was glad to see how Lyla turned out and that Nina and Tom landed on their feet.

Mixed feelings on this one. Some truly awful characters in here and not a lot of redemption. But I kept going even when it pissed me off so maybe that is saying something?

I adored this story. I loved gaining all the perspective of the characters. It truly made me reflect. I got attached to many characters. I was happy how it ended.
