This book was way out in left field... but let us not content ourselves with saying it was bonkers. When we know and trust Agatha Christie so well, let us instead ask the most interesting question of all: why is this one so meh? Time to do a little digging.

This was really entertaining, but be aware there is a lot of casual racism and racist slurs towards Chinese characters. (The edition I was reading is from 1960s, not the exact edition listed here).

A well paced and thrilling game of cat and mouse as Poirot pits himself against four great criminal minds bent on world domination with his faithful friend Hastings along for the ride. I had an excellent time reading this and thoroughly enjoyed the exciting conclusion and clever plot twists. An Excellent Poirot adventure.
