Considering the fact that one of my reading goals for 2021 is to read more non-fiction books, I suppose it is really good that I am already starting strong with one about the President-Elect Joe Biden.
Starting with the months before the epic 2020 election, this book follows Biden’s journey through the tumultuous period of 2020, often meandering into alleys of past memories. This book paints Biden as the People’s President, a politician whose political success came from reaching out to the people. However, this book is more of a launching pad and serves only as an introduction to the new President. Despite all that, the book also delves into the Obama-Biden years that seemingly has prepared Biden for a Presidential Run. One of the fantabulous things was how Boden admitted that he ran for President because of the way the Trump administration was handling things. Honestly, that was a laughter riot for me!
The book also then sheds light on Biden’s stand on certain issues, and addresses the various accusations against him. However, the author only states them and doesn’t go forth to actually talk about these various accusations. I suppose we will have to see what the future brings. The book finally ends on a positive and hopeful note - with a diverse set of people forming this new administration, America yet has hope for a brighter and progressive future.

Audiobook. This is short. Listening at x1.6 speed, I started and finished it while running errands today. I wouldn't say this is a biography...more like a brief overview to help people who weren't excited about Biden being the nominee see what a cool dude he is.

Fijne, korte biografie over Joe Biden die meer inzicht in de man geeft.
Ook wel eens fijn dat het niet een hele dikke pil is, maar gewoon een kort boekje waar je zo doorheen vliegt.
