Another great story to the series! I absolutely love the detail during the supernatural encounters, I can’t put the book down. The story continues to give more info about the secrets in London and within Lockwood & Co.

One of the things I love most about this series is the masterful way Johnathan Stroud weaves in his world building.  Subtle things happen that you don't understand the fine nuances of until you've read the entire story, and yet you can start the series anywhere, books 1 through 5, and you won't feel lost.

The Whispering Skull is a solid continuation of the Lockwood & Co. stories. I love the development of Lucy and George's friendship. They're far more prone to banter than to genuine argument like they had been in the first half of the first book. I guessed a few of the twists before they happened, but a few surprised me. I especially enjoyed the bit with George's glasses.

Lockwood steals my heart again. Lucy and George were especially amazing in this book. It was a tad slow here and there but the climax and the general mystery of the miror and the skull made up for it
