Another great story to the series! I absolutely love the detail during the supernatural encounters, I can’t put the book down. The story continues to give more info about the secrets in London and within Lockwood & Co.

I loved this book so much! It's been so long since I have had proper jaw-dropping moments in books like when they literally jumped into the Thames which I knew was going to happen because I had watched the Netflix series. But it was so so good it exceeded my expectations and I just loved it. The only problem I have with it is how dumb I find that George not being able to see the bone glass was the reason why he didn't die?? Like I want him alive thank you but he could've just looked above the glass or something. Still an incredible incredible book but it will end on a cliffhanger and you will be wanting to read more trust me.

One of the things I love most about this series is the masterful way Johnathan Stroud weaves in his world building. Subtle things happen that you don't understand the fine nuances of until you've read the entire story, and yet you can start the series anywhere, books 1 through 5, and you won't feel lost.

I’m so angry the Netflix show stopped here and didn’t get renewed. On the plus side, there are 3 more books!

Second book in the series and this was so good!
Character arcs have deppened since book one as Lucy is definitely part of Lockwood and Co. now and fully integrated.
Loved the further interactions between Lucy and George as they settle since their dynamic felt a bit rockier as George was left out of the action in the first half of this latest case regarding Bickerstaff, a Victorian doctor who tried communicating with the dead before his mysterious death.
The open ending was a fantastic surprise so again, kudos to Stroud because while I was hoping to get more info into Lockwood's past, that was an unexpected twist and I'm so going back to the library for the next installment!
