This series really just has gone downhill for me. The first book was really good! By this book, the shine has worn off, and I really didn't care about this rushed meta story. I feel like maybe the publisher told Older that he was only going to get 3 books, and so he had to wrap it up sooner rather than later, and this is what we got. A bummer, it seemed like it really had potential.
