Lisa Gardener is a true master of thrillers and mysteries. No matter how many of her books I read I can never figure out who did it, why, or how. She always keeps you guessing. This new character was really enjoyable and I loved the setting and the diversity.

As I started the audiobook things looked very good. A common woman looking for missing children. After a love angle started I lost interest. Everything that happened after that didn't go well for me either.

Where to begin?! This book held my interest the whole book. It was a longer book however I was left with no questions unanswered. The background of the main character helped explain some aspects of why she pushed so hard to find these missing people. Every clue you got in the case she was or king on lead to more confusion of what’s really going on and why she became missing in the first place but seriously I couldn’t stop listening!!!

the plot was fantastic, but what I most loved about this book was the characters. they were so raw and deeply layered that it was impossible to not be moved by their stories. I honestly have zero complaints.
