I really liked Gideon the Ninth and I did like the expansion of the world in this book, but it was almost too confusing to really enjoy existing in it. I did ride it out for the world building and because I really do enjoy Harrow as a character. And the end was satisfying when we finally understood why everything was so confusing. But honestly, I don’t think drawing the mystery out for that long was worth it. I put it down several times and reenergized with other books.

Well - my mind is BLOWN. I was a TLT groupie from the second I finished reading Gideon the Ninth, and this book here completely spun my head around.
(I just want to say - Griddle, I *heart* you BIG TIME)
I knew I was in for a real ride once I started to suspect where the second person narration was going, but Tamsyn Muir is absolutely WILD (in the best possible sense).
This will end up being in my top five books for 2023 for sure.
Super excited to immediately move on to Nona, I can't wait to see where the story goes next.
