This series has so much potential. The backstory is such a cool concept, the art work is stunning, but it just falls flat in the actual storytelling and plot line.

Each chapter starts with a bit of rundown on the backstory… but it’s the same information each time. Meanwhile, there are characters brought in that seem like they’re callbacks but I can’t remember and events that you’re suddenly in that don’t make sense as to why or how we got there. Doesn’t quite add up that the retelling of background info is repetitive while there’s a lack of information and context for characters and the current plot.

The first volume was definitely better and the ending of this one doesn’t leave me hopefully for the third volume.
