I can't help but feel a little sad writing this review. Farrow and Maximoff have taken up such a space in my head for so long and now I feel ready to let them go after this book. If you've read my other reviews of this series- you know that I was hesitant to read books two and three of Moffy and Farrow.
But I think it was good that I did. These two characters took up such space in my mind, but I feel good about parting with them after this book.
That was a little bit sappy, but now I'll get into my real, unedited thoughts about this book.
---- SPOILER WARNING ----
1. UMMMMM I was so UNPREPARED for the emotional wreckage of chapter 6. WTF.
2. Loving the call back to weed-gate in book 2.
3. In chapter 31 the mention of Walden by Thoreau makes me irrationally mad. I hate that pretentious prick and that hypocritical book. (I think these thoughts stems from being forced to read Walden in school).
4. That letter Farrow wrote to Beckett and fam was so so so so so so so so so sweet.
5. I give the ending a thousand heart emojis.
Okay, those were my thoughts. I think I was too entranced by the book to take too, too many notes on this one. But I would like to add that I loved to see more Charlie Cobalt and Moffy interaction here. Any morsel of Charlie Cobalt that I can get- I eat up. I'm so ready for Charlie book (I know I say that way too often)
Go read this book! Hopefuly you'll love this series as much as I do.
(A little reading update: Right now I'm reading Hothouse Flower, and yes I'm reading all of the KB Ritchie books completely out of order, and it's a really good book so far!)

I really don't have a whole lot to say here! I only read this because I just wanted to see how the story finished up. I honestly got pretty bored after a certain point and was listening at over twice the speed because I really just wanted to get it over with. There were still a few moments that had their charm to them but for the most part this was pretty boring, which is a very sad fall from grace, considering that Damaged Like Us was one of my favorite romances I read this year.

It's so hard to ever pick a favorite out of this series because I love them all for many different reasons, but this book in particular has some of the best scenes in the whole series - probably because we rarely see Maximoff and Farrow so vulnerable at the same time, and I just love rereading this book over and over.

Oh the ways I completely adore this book. It's not the complete conclusion for Maximoff and Farrow but it closes their main arc and I love seeing the growth of these two characters, both as individuals and in their relationship. The big important part of the book is towards the very beginning, and the rest is how they learn to navigate after some big changes. I loved seeing Maximoff becoming a little more flexible to change, and able to open up and be more vulnerable with Farrow. And Farrow trying to figure out what exactly his passion and goals are especially career-wise. The whole book is just filled with some of my absolute favorite Maximoff and Farrow moments, and I spend the whole book either crying either happy or sad/overwhelmed tears.

En fin... En este tercer libro continuamos con la historia de amor de Maximoff y Farrow, y pues en este libro ocurren varias cosas, la primera de ellas es que ahora Marrow es una pareja pública, por lo que el que Farrow sea el guardaespaldas de Moffy se vuelve algo complicado, especialmente en eventos muy grandes, y es precisamente saliendo de un evento muy grande en el que ocurre un accidente de tráfico, donde Moffy termina siendo el más lastimado, al punto que de no haber estado Farrow ahí, (que tiene entrenamiento de medico a pesar de que no completó una estancia y un examen para poder ser oficialmente medico) probablemente hubiera perdido la vida.
Esto sacude mucho a Farrow y lo hace tomar la decisión de regresar para terminar su estancia medica y pasar el examen que tiene que pasar, y pues ahora Moffy y Farrow tienen que comenzar a navegar su relación desde un ángulo en el que nunca habían tenido que hacerlo antes, cuando Farrow no es guardaespaldas de Moffy y no puede estar con él 24/7, porque tiene que hacer jornadas de más de 20 horas en el hospital.
Y pues bueno, el libro me gustó dahh, aunque debo admitir que aun confundo un poco a los personajes, en especial a los guardaespaldas, aun no logro relacionarlos con sus clientes, necesito hacer un gráfico o algo lol, pero en quitando eso, el libro lo disfruté mucho.
Moffy como siempre es un amor, lo amo con todo mi corazón, y todas las interacciones que tiene con sus padres o con sus tíos y tías me fascinan. Farrow por el otro lado en este libro me pareció un poco desesperante, digo, siempre ha sido super arrogante y terco (me recuerda de cierto modo a Ryke) pero a pesar de eso, yo lo quiero mucho al niño, aunque eso no le quita lo desesperante, como cuando solo porque es doctor cada que habla sobre los hombros de Moffy les dice "deltoides" , digo, cuál es la pinche necesidad??
Además está el hecho de que después de dos libros diciéndonos lo mucho que le gusta estar en seguridad y cómo no puede imaginarse su vida en otro trabajo, de repente decide regresar a la medicina, y luego, para colmo, al final decide no terminar su residencia (que no era técnicamente necesaria, porque él no iba a trabajar en un hospital, pero aun así). Tal vez esto es asunto mío, por mi miedo al cambio y a tomar decisiones, pero que primero renunciara a seguridad para regresar a la medicina, luego renunciara a la residencia para regresar a ser el doctor de la familia y el guardaespaldas de Moffy... no sé, ahorita que lo estoy escribiendo me doy cuenta que no tiene nada de malo, que al final consiguió las dos cosas que quería, pero cuando lo estaba leyendo me pareció algo frustrante su falta de determinación o no sé.
El libro me gustó, me gustó el drama, me gustó que se siente como un reality show en el sentido de que todo lo que pasa en realidad no es tan grave, no es como que un incendio donde pierden todo o que alguien se muere, pero cada cosita (una subasta, un exnovio, una compañía nopor que quiere contactarlo) se vuelven super importantes y son tratadas como una amenaza nivel nuclear, eso me fascina. Claro, que también si tuvo momentos intensos, como el accidente y cuando le tomaron fotos nudes a Moffy y las publicaron en internet, pero en general me encanta leer este tipo de problemas. Además Moffy y Farrow se comprometieron y me emociona la idea de verlos felices juntos, formando una familia y envejeciendo uno al lado del otro, realmente estoy super feliz por ellos.
Lo, como siempre me encantó, las pequeñas partecitas en las que aparece siempre se vuelven mis favoritas, me encanta poder leerlo nuevamente aunque sea a través de su hijo o su nuero, además estoy emocionada de que el siguiente libro creo que es de otra pareja diferente (creo que es Jane y Tatcher) y me emociona porque recuerdo que yo los shippeaba, especialmente el libro pasado; este libro, con Jane estando molesta con Tatcher (porque se peleó con Farrow) (¿o era Moffy?) y aplicándole la ley del hielo, era un poco más complicado shippearlos, pero aun así, lograron tener sus momentos en el libro.
También me emociona leer más sobre Luna y Charlie y todos en general, no puedo esperar a ver que nuevos escándalos y chismes les aguardan. En fin...Disfruté mucho el libro, en esta ocasión fue sobre todo como un respiro de aire fresco, especialmente por los otros libros un poco más densos que estaba leyendo al mismo tiempo, pero en fin... me gustó.
