Considering this book was written in 1931 it definitely deserves to be more well known. It is a really good puzzle, which is not unraveled until the very last few pages. I didn't guess the murderer or the method, it was a really ingenious solution.
The characters were well drawn and interesting, and I finished the book in a couple of days. In this type of mystery I sometimes struggle to keep track of all the characters but this one had a pleasingly small number of well motivated suspects which made it hard to solve and enjoyable to puzzle over.
I had a copy of the paperback but I noticed that many of this series are on kindle unlimited so I will be enjoying more vintage murders.

Dead bodies are piling up fast in this 1931 locked-room murder mystery from the British Library's Crime Classics series. Someone better figure out what's going on! Stodgy and stiff by today's standards, but a fun puzzle.

"Daami mõrv" on suletud ruumiga krimka. Ma pole just eriti edukas kuriteolahendaja, aga põnev on ikka!

An entertaining mystery with a good cast of characters. Not my favorite read, but still enjoyable
