I really enjoyed the book though I was half expecting the cat to just play in the box his gift came in. (Because that is what mine would do.)

Funny little picture book where the reader is in dialog with Cat. Cat doesn't "speak" per say but has plenty of funny reactions that had my 10 y.o. cracking up. Cat hasn't been very nice this year so he is searching for a way to get on Santa's nice list so he can receive a gift. He learns by displaying kindness to others, that it's not too late for him to get on the good list after all. I'm going to check out Here Comes Easter Cat next!

For: cat/Christmas fans; readers looking for a book about how it's never too late to do something nice.

Possible red flags: scheming; feeling disheartened.

I really loved the Easter Cat book, so when I saw this I immediately purchased two copies, one for myself and one for my nephews (who I gave the Easter Cat book to back in the spring). I didn't think this one was quite as good as the Easter one, but it's still funny and the art is cute.

I love Cat. A perfect amount of nice and naughty in him.

This is an adorable, laugh out loud book! Perfect for the holidays and fun to read. Cat doesn't talk, but he does hold up signs and show you what he's thinking through his body language. The book is written in a style that has a narrator "talking to" the Cat, so facing pages have the Cat illustration alongside the narrator text. The text is simple, but fun, and the beauty is in the illustrations where Cat's attitude fully comes through. Perfect for fans of Mo Willems books.
