How to put this into words? It was good. I mean I like it. It’s not that I don’t like it, but there’s something that doesn’t feel right.

First of all, I listened to the audio-book, so I’m not sure about how you feel about reading it physically. But the problem is I didn’t like the male narrator at all. I’m talking about audible audio-book. It’s like a 3rd grade kid reading a book. No emotions at all. He does this weird thing when it’s female dialogue that makes me cringe so much. The lady who narrated the story did a good job and she was the reason I didn’t DNFed the book.

So about the story, it was fine. This reminds me of “Fool me twice” by Carrie Aarons. I know this book was published 2 years before that one, but I happened to read that before this. So in my mind it reminded me of that book. I like the story line, which is unique and it was beautiful. I liked that it didn’t have any unwanted drama going on. Maybe that’s the reason I liked about this book. It felt real. Like it shows the reality than the artificial problems and all.

The problem rise between two main characters felt real. It’s not always someone else that ruins your relationship. It’s the wrong timing or not being able to adapt to the other person’s aura. It’s not love triangles that comes as problems. It’s not the family problems. It’s not the past relationships. It’s not one cheating with another. It’s not toxic relationships. Sometimes most healthy relationships lose their spark. Because it’s not always the romance that comes as a problem. It’s not being able to match with your person. It’s realizing that maybe they’re not the person you imagined. It’s not being able to spend time together. It’s giving up cuz you’re too tired. It’s let the person you like to have their own life. It’s giving up on your happiness for your special person. It’s distance that you feel with each other. It can be one or many. But whatever the reason is when you can’t seem to find a solution, you kinda fall out of track. You force yourself to be okay with things that are not okay. You get used to the uncomfortable things. You accept the things as they are. I think that’s the reality. And that’s what this book is about. Reality without sugarcoating.

p.s. - There are spicy scenes, so if you’re a minor just wait until you become an adult.
