I loved every part of this book it was so freaking good are male main character Nero is definitely in my top 5 if not three favorite male main characters in books I’ve read his appearance was nice the way he spoke his words ugh😩 I’ve never read a book we’re the main characters meet like this it was so good i lived for it and oh my goodness his possessiveness over are female main character Payton how he stalks her😩 when he takes her virginity😏😩I just loved every scene inside this entire book I cannot wait to read the other books in this series this is a happy ending in both ways😏 with no cliffhangers it’s definitely spicy🌶️🌶️🌶️it has no cheating and no love triangles there is one scene though we’re some people may find as cheating but I will say he doesn’t kiss or have sex with another girl so don’t think that🤣 other then that we’re good some of the tropes are virgin heroine, age gap, billionaire romance, grumpy x sunshine and I think a couple more I totally recommend this book do good😍😍overall I knew I was gonna rate this book a 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from the beginning

Absolutely and utterly unhinged.

MMC is the biggest red flag. FMC needs therapy ASAP.

That being said, I loved how the author is not trying to convince us Nero is a good man here. She's simply telling her characters' story, as it is, without trying to justify their toxic behaviour. This is the kind of dark romance I can enjoy. It was pure entertainment, and I read someone describe these as "cozy dark romance", and I couldn't agree more lol. I'm really eager to read King's story.

The author's dedication says it all: "To all my ladies who see those walking Red Flags as a pretty shade of pink… repeat after me, only when the men are fictional."

I’m glad I started with Dom (book 3) first because I don’t think I’d be as invested in the world of the Alliance if I hadn’t and might not want to read the others. I didn’t like the way sex workers were talked about, calling them whores and such. I wish there was more character development with Nero besides “I never loved someone and now I’d murder anyone who looks at her.” I do enjoy the banter between King and Nero, so I’m looking forward to Kings book. Nero is a tad psycho - but I’m here for it.
