I've been wanting to ready more poetry than I typically do, and this was lovely. Graceful, whimsical, dark at some times, thoughtful.

Annie Dillard’s understanding on the connectedness of humans and nature is my favourite thing to read.

What a beautiful, seemingly-easy way with words Annie Dillard has. There is a breeziness about her...her lines move like something natural...a breeze, a creek. Mmm.

Read her poem about the planets and then listen to Holst's "Planets," just for fun.

It took me a while to warm up to this book, but these poems are amazing.

This was wildly all over the map for me. There were a few phrases I wanted to slip into my pocket for later, and others that seemed to belong to someone else. I appreciated the poems with an epigraph as it seemed to focus either my interpretation or her creation or both.
