Raven Du Pont has always loved Ares Windsor, but he’s only ever had eyes for her sister, Hannah. Now they’re getting married, something that will merge the two families and secure the future of her parents’ company. But when Hannah decides to break off their wedding, Ares’ grandmother, the Windsor matriarch, demands that Raven marry Ares instead. Raven never thought she’d be in this situation, but now that she is… she’s determined to make it work, because this? This is the chance she’s always dreamed of.

Oh my gosh, I can’t even begin to express how much I loved this one!!! Ares and Raven’s love story was definitely unconventional, but that doesn’t take away from how epic and passionate it was. I don’t think either of them expected to be happy in their marriage, but it turned out there was so much more between them then they’d ever explored. I loved watching Ares’ protective side come out when it came to Raven, and I loved Raven’s sassy nature and quiet strength. There were angsty times that made me want to throw my kindle at the wall, and super funny moments that had me laughing out loud. All in all, this was a great read, and I definitely recommend!

*** 3.7 actually, the amount of times I wanted to throw my kindle across my bedroom. I couldn’t sleep because of the ount of angst created in this book. Was it too long for a romance? yes. did i still enjoy reading it? also yes. Man I have also never hated a daughter and mother duo more. I hope hannah and her mom live their lives extremely miserably, i feel bad for the innocent child because they will probably never experience real love. Ares really did ruin hannah’s life, and I’m glad he did something right for once in this book. gave me a fucking migraine

UGH BE STILL MY BEATING HEART!
This book is devastatingly great, and I mean that in the best way! Don’t let the cover fool you! Its equal parts heartbreaking and beautiful. I don’t think I could say enough good things about this book! I throughly enjoyed it and read it in less than 24 hours, I didn’t want to put it down. It has just the right amount of spice with a great storyline! This will definitely be a reread for me!

Raven is a top model and fashion designer from a top reigning family. While always being in the spitlight she still is in the shadow of her older sister, she has had to work hard for everything she has. A marriage contract for her family, the Du Ponts, and the novelty Windsor was set to bring the family empires together but when her sister interferes… all hell breaks loose.

I hated this book till like 50% in. but when I started liking Ares the whole book got better. However Hannah got on my damn nerves. In addition the book had way to much drama like every time it finally went well between them something happen like 2 pages later like bfr. so even tho I loved Ares and Raven (and all the side characters except Hannah and ravens mom) this was not for me so a 3.5⭐️

I’m not usually a fan of OW drama and this entire book is that. But oh my god. This book broke me in the best ways, Ares and Raven went through hell for their love and I’m obsessed.

❌their union is unconventional, yes, the heroine was in love with him far longer than he seemed to realize (as was he) but the amount of times she asked for reassurance of his fidelity and the promise of forever became a little too much
