omg omg this book was soooo good and i havent felt like this about a book in age it feels like!!! i literaly couldnt stop reading and when i was doing stuff during the day all i thought about was finishing this book. this is definetly a super easy fantasy to read so i reccomnd it to everyoneee
i loved so much about this!!! the plot was so interesting and i literally teared up at one part of the book i actually cant. gideon and rune were chacracters i both really enjoyed following and i appreciate how they both had their past built upon to make them more relatable.
one thing i realllly appreciated about this book was that it threw you straight into the story. this means that it was sooo fast paced right from the start and immediately got my attention. there was no big info dump world building right at the start but rather the author wove it really naturally into the story which is something i hope i can read more of. the reest of the story also was very fast paced which made it so easy to read.
although the plot twists were pretty predictable it was still quite fun to read about. the ending left on a pretty big cliffhanger so i cant wait to see what happens in the next book.
except i wish the magic was a bit more interesting...? idk it was just a bit boring for me hahahah also i wish there was a bit more enemies to lovers and a bit more angst before they got together lol

I struggled to put this book down, I wanted to read it at every free second! I will be thinking of the characters a lot, ugh hurry up February 2025….
I cannot think properly after that ending….what, why, how? I guessed the big twist, but there are clues throughout the book. Now I have to wait 7-8 months to find out what happens…

This book was such a fun read that I thoroughly enjoyed! It’s not an independent story so I do hate I now have to wait for the next book but it is so worth it! I loved the characters and the world. It had some very fun concepts that were well executed and the writing style is very easy to read and engaging. The enemies to lovers to enemies was so well done too and I can’t wait to see how Runw continues her crimson moth legacy as she has to rebuild.

I honestly thought this would be a 5 star but the plot of this book enraged me.
You’ve got SA victims committing SA against others and were meant to think that’s a great love story??
The main love interest is a genocide-loving prick who will also kill little girls or his own brother for being a sympathiser - I couldn’t stand him.
Rune is an idiot of the highest order.
Alex DESERVED better. This man is a goddamn saint and pays with his life for it. If you think I’d want to read the second book to see her love the guy who SAd her, caused his brothers death and still wants to kill her - no Thankyou
