That's Me Loving You is a sweet story with great diversity. It gives spring or summer vibes.

I didn't realize when I read this book that the author had passed until I read other reviews. That added another layer of how touching and sentimental this book is. No matter where a parent is, near or far, they're always with you.

Though a good book to reassure a child when they are apart from a loved one such as going to camp, to the other parent's house, grandma's house, or some such, it did also feel like a book to reassure a child about the death of a parent. Not truly a coping with death book but at times seemed like it. Still sweet.

This book has the classic look of a Little Golden Book. Amy Krouse Rosenthal always tugs at the heartstrings. This love letter to a child is great for older preschoolers getting ready for Kindergarden or preschool, but it also falls neatly into that category of "picture books for grads."
Full disclosure: I received this eARC through Edelweiss.

There are so many of these kinds of books now. This was middle of the pack.

I loved, loved, loved this story and found myself crying since I know the author died young. Her saying that the wind, the rain, rainbows, etc are her expressing her love for the child just broke me up. It remains to be seen how my grandsons will react to the precious message.

Cute picture book about a parent's love for their child.
