I like the characters, and setting, and the continuing story. I find some parts in the book tedious that I tend to skim quite a bit.

Overall, it is a great novel. The only issue I have with it, is that the "first generation" is slowly beginning put on the back burner (or doesn't appear at all), while the children (now in their teens and twenties) are taking over the main stories. At this point, I don't find some of these characters interesting enough to hold the remainder of the saga.

It was a little slow trying to figure out what has happened to each character since the last book. I didn't find out about some characters till halfway through the book and I almost thought they had been dead. I also found it hard to see the characters as older with such a long time jump. Although I do like how Jeremey and Clowance are a bigger part in the story and we can see them interacting with their parents.

Reread: Poldark is just the best and i really love all the books. I love the childrens' stroylines and it is so fun to really pay attention to what Stephen says! This time i have actually visited Caerhays and Bowood and i could really imagine the places when Graham described them in the novel.
