Truthfully, Dominic reminded me too much of Dante. So I guess they’re both grumpy (?) but Alessandra was a great female character albeit annoying towards the end. Any woman in her situation would have found it harder to leave, so I commend her but I am glad it ended the way it did!

Disappointed with this one, I had some expectations. I think characters are starting to just feel recycled with different names and back stories. Felt quite boring and stagnant. Like there was barely any grovelling. Alex stays number 1 in that department. I like the cameo of 2 certain characters, that was a nice inclusion.
Dull as dishwater characters and I could not care about Ale at all. She somehow felt more developed in book 2? What marriage in crisis? Dom? Personality where? He just followed her around and wow we fell in love again 2.0? He signed the papers way too quickly. God the miscommunication. Tired me endlessly. I didn’t feel any angst either which I’m disappointed by because I think it’s one thing Huang’s does quite well.
Also the sex every five minutes, didn’t feel right in this scenario.

A much needed read after a full semester of brain diagrams and organic fucking chemistry. I will forever worship the ground Ana walks on. I was a hater of second chance romances until Lauren Asher and Ana Huang; thank you besties for introducing me the wonders of this trope <3
