It's the summer holidays and Clarice Bean is bored. It's way too hot, her best friend is away, she's in trouble with her big sister and her neighbour, Robert Granger, keeps turning up and annoying her. Then a stray dog follows her home and suddenly everything changes.
It's ideal for children who are getting used to reading slightly longer books but still appreciate the pages being broken up with pictures and big, lively fonts. I imagine younger children would like to have it read to them too.
A charming and funny book which captures the delights but also the responsibility of having a pet.

I read the original Clarice Bean books as a kid and I was delighted to find out that Lauren Child had started writing them again, even though I'm 26 now. Scram! is just as quirky and funny as the original books and I really enjoyed reading it.

This book was absolutely precious! I read Clarice Bean: Spells Trouble and Utterly Me, Clarice Bean when I was younger and when I saw this book, I wanted to relive my childhood.
I love the adventure that Clarice gets on in this novel. It was super cute and lighthearted!!
