I remember these stories cracking me up as a child, but the humor seemed a bit faded when I read it again with my son. He giggled, which made it all the more amusing for me, but it's not something I will be pursuing more of. The humor will get predictable after a while. Our favorite parts were the dressed chicken and the dusted furniture (very Lily Munster, actually).
