Part heist, part action/ adventure, part social commentary, all excellent! As usual, Alderman has researched the heck out of this, and anyone who thinks it's far- fetched isn't paying attention. I hate spoilers, so the only thing I'll say is to read it all the way to the back cover (seriously). And if you happen to spot something that could be read as a call to action, maybe answer that call.

This book was outside of my usual comfort zone- it’s a lot darker in tone for most of it, as when I’ve previously read dystopian books, I’ve mostly done so within the YA genre.
I really liked the multicast audio swapping actors when the book swapped points of view, though I wish Santino Fontana had read more than at the very beginning and end because he’s one of my favorite actors and audiobook narrators.
I also called the major plot twist fairly early on, but even with the anticlimactic final reveal, I still liked the happiness promised at the ending. I also liked the queer and trans representation.
