This is an interesting and fairly well-done kids novel. It has enough elements of detective work to make it a kids mystery but it also ties in all of the classic fairy tales that most children grew up with. It has a strong family theme presented through the orphaned sisters finding a family that they truly belong with. Overall I would recommend this for kids.

Saw this on the shelf and remembered loving it as a kid, turns out it doesn’t quite keep my interest as an adult. Still a cute read though!

My 8 y/o and I read this together and he decided that it was the greatest thing he's ever read. Very cleaver storyline revolving around Grimm's fairy tales.
