I couldn't put it down. This book was intense, and I honestly didn't know what the hell to expect, but it wasn't that.

God this book was good. So intense and well done!! I loved the concept and Sager executed it perfectly, I was constantly enthralled and I loved every second of this mind-boggling thriller.

I loved this book! It was a fun mix of historical New York fiction and thriller/mystery. It’s always fun to try to put the pieces together in a mystery/thriller and this was no exception. The author did a great job of developing the MC’s backstory and creating a palpable creepy environment at the Bartholomew! Worth the read :)
loved that Rufus ended up with the MC

Oooh what a fun ride! I don’t mind a simple thriller, something you can digest without feeling overwhelmed and that made this an enjoyable read for me.

Loved the setting, it felt very vivid, and the last chunk of the book really turned up the pace and had me rooting for the main character!

Some of the main character’s choices were VERY questionable, so some disbelief had to be suspended, but at least their choices were well written.

Would recommend for the casual thriller reader! Those who are obsessed with the genre I could see tearing into this book, buy I’m just hear for the spooky vibes.

Def curious to check out Sagers other work!
