I like that each layout follows a pattern of where the bird is and then what the bird is doing.

This one is a solid okay for me. It's rhyming which is useful for decoding words. But text is so simple that it makes the information presented in the back almost a tad overwhelming. The illustrations are gorgeous, though! Most kids like looking at birds, so this will provide a conversation starter for identifying those birds they may see.
