I was also really happy to find that as someone who has never read the full Sleepy Hollow story I was able to fully follow the story and graphic novel.
I’m sure there are additional layers to the story that I would gain if I read the original story and then reread this so I might do that at some point but for now I was really happy that I could still understand and appreciate this novel without that

This is a charming graphic novel that brings together three unlikely heroes who are set forth to find answers, discover who they want to be, and protect each other along the way.
This can be read at any time of the year, and I think it will make a great spooky season recommendation.

If you're looking for the most unique and fun LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW retelling since WISHBONE, look no further than this graphic novel. This sapphic next generation homage to the classic Halloween story will make for the perfect addition to your October TBR.
Not only does it center around HS students and spins humor into the tale, HOLLOW also features colorful and lively artwork that beautifully supports the narration. The reason Izzy and Vicky's journey earned 3.5 stars is because I was hoping for a deeper dive into the dynamic of their burgeoning love story or a more purposeful comparison to Ichabod and Katrina from the original story.
Overall, this was an excellent way to begin celebrating Halloween in August. Highly recommend you all check it out!
Moderate: Stalking
Minor: Murder, Animal death, Death, and Injury/Injury detail
