I love everything Buffy but this Omnibus was practically torture to get through. Most of this volume was illustrated by the same guy (Hector Gomez I believe) and I just hate his art style for Buffy. The characters don't look like themselves and neither do most of locations like the school library and the Bronze. The art style feels way too '80's and therefore very removed from the Buffy vibes.

LOOOOOOOOOVE. It was so fun. I love how accurate it is to the characters and the art is really good too. These omnibi so far really feel like I'm watching the television show.

The third graphic novel of the Buffy Omnibus was such a fun ride. I loved it!! Buffy lives on!

I didn't enjoy these as much as earlier stories. I'd probably have rated them a star lower if I didn't already love all the characters enough to hear their voices in my head as I read these comics.
These stories were attempted to be interwoven through Season 3, and succeed somewhat. Though many were published without being able to get the full scoop on what was happening in the show at that instant - which makes them a bit out of canon. (Like if someone breaks up in episode 8, the comics that happens right afterward shows them still being together.)
That makes it a bit weird, but that's not what bugs me about these comics. I just think it's the scripting. While the character maintain their personalities to a certain extent, Christopher Golden (the primary author) just doesn't capture the essence of the show. Sure, it's hard, being that the show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but Golden doesn't infuse the stories with as much creativity and (I'm making up a word here) interesting-ness as the show. While the stories try to take the characters places that the show might not be able to due to the budget of a live production, there's just something missing. And here, I'm not even comparing it to the show - there's just something missing that makes it a mediocre comic.
I hate that I'm saying that, but if I didn't know the characters, I don't think the stories would interest me at all.

A disappointing collection. The artwork really ruined it for me. The storylines were ok I guess, but because the art was pretty bad it ruined the whole experience.

I enjoyed this way more than the last volume. Although some of the stories I had already read in the legacy editions, I didn't actually mind rereading them. Whereas the last two volumes felt like canon, these are more in line with the storyline from the Dark Horse Comic series, acting as fun little filler episodes. The snappy dialogue that's done so well in the series falls a little short here, but the speedy narritive, artwork and storytelling more than make up for it
