Pretty interesting followup to There, There: part sequel (based on the culmination of the first book but following different characters) and part historical fiction (discussing the traumatic history of boarding schools on indigenous children). I initially thought the historical fiction half felt much stronger, essentially a collection of short stories centered around characters who were all descendants/related to each other. But as the second half developed, I really cared for the modern day characters (namely Orvil, Lonnie, and Jacquie). I think Wandering Stars is a followup that improves on Orange's debut, I just wished the first half was longer!
