Jordan Taylor is going to school for her Masters in Interior Design when one night she is mesmerized by Mason D'Istrafrio, a black opera singer. Mason is equally taken by her and they spend one passion filled night together, falling in love with the other, but they are not to be.

10 years later Jordan has never gotten over Mason but must now talk to him for the sake of her sick daughter Lily. Will Mason help Jordan and Lily or does he want to leave their own night in the past as he has a wife and three children?

To me this book was heavy but at the same time not. It's so much more than an erotica book as this book is very heavy with children being a major focus of the book. I found the maturity of the children almost unbelievable as they were so together with everything that they were going through and were facing. I know there is no way my own children would be that together, but having not gone through anything that had happened in the book I could be totally wrong.

I really enjoyed the book and almost felt like there could be a second book to tell us what happens with Lily as I am so curious!!

This was the first time I have read this author and it will not be my last.

First of all, I loved the underlying story line. The way it was laid out was just a little over the top for me. Mason and Jordan come together for one reason: their daughter, Lily. Lily is very sick and needs a liver transplant. Jordan goes to Mason to tell him about Lily's existence as well as to ask for help. During this, she breaks down multiple times, which (as I said before) was a little much for me.
