It occurred to me during this volume. Are masks legal? Sure they are in the real world, but what kind of world where masks are so closely related to ghouls would they be legal? I'd been assuming this whole time that Uta's shop was some kind of underground-black-market deal. But the events in this volume seem to indicate otherwise. Why doesn't the CCG just post cameras outside mask stores if they still legally operate? I don't understand!!!

I'm so excited for all the og characters to start getting involved! I'm also really glad I read the light novels, because of how much Chie Hori is in RE. I'm ready for Uta to make these masks and Tsukiyama to be his weirdo self again. It's going to be great. Now I just want Kaneki back, but I know if that does happen it probably won't happen until the more middle/end of the series.

I suppose Suzuya and Kaneki's friendship is something I unexplainably wanted from the start. We made progress on the operation to bring back Kaneki's memories, by the Gourment, of course.

Still very interesting and I can’t wait to see how things progress.

Also, a certain. Someone claiming that his eyes are actually tattoos was a genius move.
