This book’s collection of Ojibwe myths is presented in English alongside the same text in Ojibwe. The text as an act of preservation but also of revitalization for the language itself. It was an informative and interesting read!

Ok this is a beautiful book and these stories so deserve to be shared. I loved that many of the stories had side-by-side translation in Anishinaabemowin but this was so difficult to read. The writing was so abrupt and I’m not sure if it’s because of the translation aspect or because these stories require oral retelling. I love the concept of this book but I just can’t get through it.
