This book does condense the history of the Pemmican Wars, but I think it's a good introduction to Métis history. The art is breathtaking. Definitely going to continue reading the rest of the series.
There was also some unexpected but most certainly welcome nonbinary representation!

This graphic story is much too short but it packs a whole lot of emotion into a short time. I have to keep reading the series because the moment you have met the characters, it seems to be over.
