The Presence of Grace by Anie Michaels

I have been a fan of Anie's since the beginning. I know that every book will be an emotional ride that I don't want to get off. Her writing is perfection, her characters real, flawed and sexy. The Presence of Grace is the second book in the series. We met Devon in The Absence of Olivia. He was heartbroken, sad and trying to move on from the death of his wife. Now, he's moved to Florida, working with his father and raising his children alone. When he sees Grace, again, something stirs inside of him. Hope. Hope for moving on. Hope for letting go. Hope for finding love again. Grace is sexy, smart and funny. They have a connection that they can't deny. Devon finally found a woman who he wants to spend time with. They want to take it slow and make sure they are making the right choices. Devon does all the right things, says the perfect words, but Grace has been hurt before and she's scared. She loves his kids and can see a future with them, but she's fighting her own demons. Can Devon convince her to trust in him? Will he finally know the right thing to say? I loved this story! Devon is just perfect. I loved the way he took care of his kids and how he showed Grace she's special. All the little things, like opening doors. It's the small things we forget. Devon didn't forget them. Swoon!

And my God, he was handsome when he smiled. It never failed to make my breath catch.

"You're beautiful when you're frazzled."

Every book by Anie Michaels I read, I swear it's my favorite. The same holds true with this book. Normally I do not post any scenes in my reviews, but oy.....the part where Devon is crying....that touched me right to my core!!!

From the beginning I was invested in this book. The supporting characters were just as important as the main characters!!!

This can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading them in order.
