Citro and Bissette never disappoint. This is another collection of interesting stories about bizarre creatures that may (or may not) roam the back alleys of Vermont. Citro’s storytelling is excellent, as usual, and the text is supplemented by Bissette’s macabre line art. Highly recommended!

A fun little cryptozoology book on Vermont sightings for kids. I wish I could rate it higher, but the amount of blatantly fictional content—animals so rare they've never been seen, a false story kept in because the name was good, & so on—places this book solidly in the "immature" category as far as writing goes.

The concept & illustrations are favorable, however.
