I skimmed. There was absolutely nothing of value in this book. It was all information I already knew.

Super important message that I wish I would have heard when I was a teen. The writing is very accessible, but also somewhat dry. Also, since this is a book aimed at teens, I think the author should have used more examples from actual teens. Every person whose eating habits Kessler discussed was a grown up - not sure advice like "eat the same few dinners over and over" or "say no to dinner parties where junk food will be served" is as helpful for a teen, who has less control over his or her income/shopping/meal decisions.

"We overeat largely because of the way food is now manufactured and marketed. Foods are designed and sold to us in ways that make us want to eat more."

Thus is similar to the End... but is intended for younger readers. Which I think is s good thing.

I really want to buy this book. I actually understood it (unlike most health books) and it actually inspired me to eat better.
